Why is there a £150 deposit for this, I do a lot of volunteering and would love to be part of this but as a young person £150 is just too much. I thought by volunteering you weren’t meant to be made out of pocket? Disappointing.

Thank you for your comment on the Seed Staff website. I understand that as a young person you may find it hard to find £150 for the refundable deposit. Unfortunately in festival volunteering there is a history of people signing up to apply, getting their wristband into the festival and then disappearing never to be seen again. As all staff get a workers wristband on entry we need to guarantee that they will then go on and do all their shifts. We have found, as most festival staffing companies have found, that the only way to do this is to take a deposit that is equal to or grater to the price of a festival ticket. This deposit is ten returned after the festival.
I hope this helps clarifies our reasons for the deposit,
Ali
